Gonzales Set to Take the Fall, Tony Snow Running Interference for Karl Rove

It feels like 1973 these days; the pattern slowly evolving, the inner sanctum of the Oval Office revealed layer by layer.

I believe the first order of business
should be the repeal of the Military Commissions Act; but impeachment hearings may take centre stage.

This is the first link between illegal activities in the administration and the Mastermind, Karl Rove.

WASHINGTON, March 15 — Karl Rove, the senior presidential adviser, inquired about firing United States attorneys in January 2005, e-mail messages released Thursday show. The request prompted a Justice Department aide to respond that Alberto R. Gonzales, soon to be confirmed as attorney general, favored replacing a group of “underperforming” prosecutors.
